Uncle Geoff always made us laugh - mostly with him, some times in his general direction. He was warm and generous and his quirkiness made him a perfect fit for our family. I can't remember the occasion, but it was back when my Aunty Sarah's house belonged to my Aunty Sally (see, quirky) and we were all out in the garden when the dog, Scottie, decided to leave his mark on Geoff's jacket. I'm not sure Geoff even noticed, he was so absorbed in whatever was going on. But for the record, I have always felt a little guilty for watching and chuckling quietly like a horrible teenager, rather than chasing the dog off. Um, sorry about that Uncle Geoff! I'll remember Geoff for his kindness, for driving very slowly when we visited in Spain, for making himself laugh with some dreadful jokes and for not speaking Spanish. Mostly I remember Geoff as someone who made my AuntyLizabeth happy, and I'd say that's a pretty good thing to be remembered for. Thanks Uncle Geoff, you will be missed. xx
